Easy Instant Pot Chicken Parmesan

Chicken parmesan in the instant pot is a perfect weeknight dinner recipe and a favorite for many people. This whole dish can be made inside 20 minutes. This dish is low carb, keto-friendly, and gluten-free. Without breading this skinny chicken parmesan is a light dish and I love to keep it light.

Get all the ingredients ready before starting to cook. You don’t need to search for the ingredients while you are making this dish. Sear the chicken to add more flavor to the dish.

For best taste, I recommend using a homemade marinara sauce made with fresh tomatoes. Alternatively, you can also purchase one from your local store.

What Are The Best Side Dishes To Serve With Chicken Parmesan

I like to serve chicken parmesan along with some roasted vegetables like asparagus, cauliflower, broccoli, or a mix of these vegetables. 

I would also recommend trying Italian dressing or balsamic vinaigrette pair as it goes perfectly with these chicken flavors.

Chicken parmesan is a delicious Italian dish and one of the easiest recipes you can make in your instant pot. This dish is light since there is no breading on the chicken and with a few simple ingredients, you can make this recipe in about 20 minutes.

Ingredients

Directions

  • Slice large breasts into 4 thin chicken breast halves.
  • Season both the side of the chicken with salt and pepper
  • Set the IP on saute mode and let it heat.
  • Add olive oil and place the chicken breast halves into the instant pot. Allow the chicken to saute until both the side of the chicken turns brown. Take the chicken out and set it aside.
  • Add garlic and saute until fragrant. Stir in basil and marinara sauce. Let it heat through and switch off the saute mode.
  • Put the chicken back into the center of the pot. Seal the lid and make sure it is latched. Set the valve to seal and turn IP to pressure cook on low pressure for 3 minutes.
  • Once cooked, turn it off. Carefully do a quick release of the pressure. Sprinkle some mozzarella & parmesan cheese, basil on the chicken.
  • Close the lid and do not turn on the instant pot and let the cheese melt for 4 to 5 minutes. Remove the lid and serve hot.
